Luckily, it turned out to be an association copy as well, to Major J.R.Abbey. Carter inscribed: "For Jack Abbey, a small tit for a large tat. from John Carter. <br />20 Nov'56". While I admire Carter's writing, another Biblio-Boy whose writing I like even more is A.N.L Munby -especially his collection, "Essays and Papers". Kings College recently held a centenary conference to celebrate Tim Munby.
